EXPERIENCE

Charles has spent his entire legal career representing oil and natural gas development companies and investors, commercial real estate developers and owners, construction contractors and subcontractors, financial institutions, as well as individuals involved in commercial disputes.
Charles has served at chief legal counsel and tried dozens of cases to juries, judges, and arbitrators throughout Texas, nationally and internationally.  He has represented and continues to represent clients throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia.

In addition to being a trial lawyer, Charles has represented numerous clients in international and domestic oil and gas acquisitions, structuring and Finance.


EDUCATION

Charles received his B.A. from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas and his Doctorate of Jurisprudence at St. Mary’s University’s School of Law in San Antonio, Texas.  While in law school, Charles was the recipient of the State Mock Trial Best Speaker Award, won the State Mock Trial Competition and the St. Mary’s University Novice Mock Trial Competition.
